Summer and Fall Gone POOF but music lives on

Well, blogging has taken a back seat to school.  Not sure how these cats with niche blogs on college do it but I got to give it to them.

Some new music gadgets I've added to my repertoire since summertime
  • Pandora.  Okay so I've been using Pandora longer than that (think way before commercials on your favorite stations & beyond).  But since they have integrated their wonderful, marvelous product into social media.... BAM... my poor fellow FaceBookers have had no reprieve.
    • For example, I've been on a HUGE Cat Stevens kick and have to restrain myself from sharing every song from his Tea for the Tillerman album.  Okay so a few sneaked through :)
  • Grooveshark.  Uhm, another I can't remember when I started using but this one was at least in '09.  I started using for Opinionated Ant when I wanted to add some audio excitement to a post.  Think Bowie's Changes it a little widget every time I announce a new feature.  Ch-ch-ch-changes.
In other musical news I'm waiting anxiously for my first mandolin.  Don't ask me what it is called, it is a cheapo from Ebay and the name is most likely a mock company for an import.  Yes, I've been educated by mandolin experts.  Perhaps, I'll post some pictures here... depends on how bad it looks when I get it.  No need to go out of my way to embarrass myself :).

Where have we Been? I've been around...

Yes, my humanoid was just singing Beach Boys and imagining she was in Flight of the Navigator. Scary.

Since she decided to do the Problogger 31 Days to Build a Better Blog, she hasn't been posting here, as you can see. The fact that BeBe hasn't been to many concerts lately has a small factor in it as well.

Speaking of BeBe, since her dearth of appearances here, she promised to start filming simple recipe videos for my Main Blog.

Lastly, here's a clip another concerteer (hmm, is that truly a word?) took of the Ting Tings in Boston last December.

See you soon,

Eliza Leigh, Mutant Ant

Woo hoo!

I'm pretty new at uploading on YouTube so small markers make me very happy.
For example:

BeBe's Delta Spirit Clip, People, Turn Around had over 100 views in 3 days.
It makes me want to do a happy dance and as a mutant ant with six legs believe me I can dance.

The coolest thing about this clip was how all the bands got up there and just jammed.

Okay back to watching Leverage's Season Finale (yes I am a day behind).

BeBe's upcoming shows

Currently, Bebe has only told us of the upcoming Ting Tings show she is going to.

She has already said there won't be any videos, at least from her, since she'll be too busy jumping.
Jumping? Really!

Other than that she's keeping any other concert plans quiet- I think she's afraid a talking mutant ant might tag along.

So we shall torture her a la Ellen DeGeneres to George Clooney sans the supermodels, scientists and signs.

In other words, nag her continuously.

Listening to Right Now

Cat Stevens

Hard-headed Woman (check out the Mp3 widget to hear a bit)

That's my humanoid...

In other music news, my human translator unearthed two 1970's sheet music books. Carole King's Tapestry (a necessary staple) and Peaceful Easy Feeling Volume II.

The problem with this finds is: a) she proceeded to sing on the top of her lungs most of the Tapestry collection and b) she's looking for harmonica tabs right now for Smackwater Jack.

see our twitter post all about it

Had an Eventful widget here to Beg Blues Traveler to come to Boston...
Hey why not!
But, I broke it within days and found out that BT might be going to Lowell this
summer.

Yay!

Listening to Right Now

A few things.

Madea~ My human promised to take me... and not in the Rasinet box this time.
But watching Joe Versus the Volcano [on Amazon]. There's a few songs in it!
Nina Simone~ that's my theme song!

Middle East Tonight

My humanoid sent her emissary to the Middle East tonight... don't worry BeBe will be back by tomorrow.

Hopefully, the video of House Built for Two will come out. Otherwise I fear HT will send BeBe stalking Delta Spirit across the universe (or at least to New York or VA).

Other Lives and Dawes are also there. Love is all I Am is pretty cool. Both Delta Spirit and Dawes performed on 88.9 in their in-live studio today and impressed this toxic ant.

Go see anyone play tonight? Where'd you end up?

BeBe the Concert Queen February Schedule

Have been updated new blog and haven't been pestering BeBe too much.
Although tickets were sold out for Tony Luca/Sara B. on 2/20/09- BeBe and company will make an appearance at the Middle East to see Delta Spirit...
