Wanna listen to what I'm talking about? Press play!
Neither song is new but today I discovered that Chicago covered a Benny Goodman classic. This was only after listening to Sing, Sing, Sing in all it's jazzy goodness and to hear a M&M (that is a code name for one of my humanoids sisters) ask, "Where are the lyrics?".
Frankly, I was flabbergasted. Even I, a mutant ant, knew it was a jazz standard but I never heard any lyrics. After looking it up I was surprised to find that Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman was a cover of another and not the first. I found it was originally called Sing, Bing, Sing and recorded in 1936 by Louis Prima & his band by somewhat trusty Wikipedia.
M&M pulled out her iPod and played Chicago's version which looks like it is from their 1995 album Night & Day: Big Band. It was catchy.
Of course, now anytime I hear Sing, Sing, Sing I can't help but think of a rather silly boy playing in the yard.

Playing with the theme of this forgotten blog
That's right. Instead of making a soup, putting away the dishes or other mundane but necessary things that I need to do now that I've turned back into a pumpkin (it is after midnight) I'm sitting on here playing around with themes and listening to music. You too? How delightful.
I recently rediscovered my playlist on YouTube which was bittersweet. Bitter because many of my faves were no longer viewable. Curses. Sweet because I listened to some of my favorites repeatedly. Joys.
Two songs I've been listening/watching on YouTube incessantly are:
Tyler Perry on stage in Madea Goes to Jail
A Fine Frenzy's Almost Lover in a North & South (the BBC miniseries) fan video

Where have we Been? I've been around...
Yes, my humanoid was just singing Beach Boys and imagining she was in Flight of the Navigator. Scary.
Since she decided to do the Problogger 31 Days to Build a Better Blog, she hasn't been posting here, as you can see. The fact that BeBe hasn't been to many concerts lately has a small factor in it as well.
Speaking of BeBe, since her dearth of appearances here, she promised to start filming simple recipe videos for my Main Blog.
Lastly, here's a clip another concerteer (hmm, is that truly a word?) took of the Ting Tings in Boston last December.
See you soon,
Eliza Leigh, Mutant Ant

Woo hoo!
I'm pretty new at uploading on YouTube so small markers make me very happy.
For example:
BeBe's Delta Spirit Clip, People, Turn Around had over 100 views in 3 days.
It makes me want to do a happy dance and as a mutant ant with six legs believe me I can dance.
The coolest thing about this clip was how all the bands got up there and just jammed.
Okay back to watching Leverage's Season Finale (yes I am a day behind).
